All this time

Posted by ChroniclesCapersCanards on 2:56 PM
Growing up with my mom as a baker, all this time until baking and pastry i have not seen the difference between a liquid measure and a dry measure. In my family we are always making snacks such as home made cookies, cupcakes, and my mom decorates cakes for numerous occasions. Always, we use the same 3/4 cup that we would use for flour as for instance for milk. While baking cupcakes this weekend, my mom said that the measuring cups for the water and oil that i needed were dirty. I realized that using these wasn't even correct. I tried to find a liquid measure and used that instead. The food we previously used to make never tasted necessarily bad, but my mom said the cupcakes tasted noticably moister with the different equiptment. Being in the class has showed me things that i can apply to everyday treats and home cooking!
